We screened eight short films last weekend at The Book Club - our first Saturday event! You know the drill, check out the details of the films below.

A GAME FOR FOOLS - CRISTIAN VALENCIANO
Ariel has broken up with her boyfriend and her purse has been stolen. When he meets the thief who has robbed her, he proposes her a deal. If he gets her to fall in love with him, Ariel will leave him free, otherwise she will turn him in to the police. Who will win? Trailer

FISH - SAMAN HOSSEINPUOR
An old couple are living in an apartment, the man is sleeping and the woman is doing housework. The lady wants to change the fish tank’s water but it slips out of her hand and falls on the ground. They've run out of water and there’s no water for the fish. But with the help of the man, they find water for it. Trailer

In the Berlin winter, two ex-lovers meet again for the first time since their break up. Trailer (no subtitles)

MAGIC - IKER ACE
With the logic and the innocence of a seven year old girl, Carla thinks she can do something to reunite back her family: finish the drawing before the morning sun lights up the sheet... Trailer

DROP - YOTAM KINSPEL
Neta, a socially-rejected 11 year old, is having a nightmarish day that starts with getting her first period, right before gym class. Not wanting to face the embarrassment, she takes drastic actions. But only these actions will lead her to discover something surprising and new. Trailer

DRESS REHEARSAL - THE CLEMENS BROS
Sometimes the only thing that stands in the way of the dream is the dreamer. Bella, Lionel, Kit and Steph are 'The Overtones'. An operatic touring troupe, performing their show above a London pub. The dressing room is rife with tension and talent but the show must go on. Meanwhile, on the streets of London, Micky, a homeless man must battle his way through an unbearable evening, only to discover 'The Overtones' are playing and a once special someone is performing. What will happen when their paths inevitably collide? Facebook
